01About these terms
OneiD is a product of Oltin, a company founded and based in the United Kingdom. In these terms, “OneiD”, “we” and “us” mean Oltin, and “you” means anyone who uses this website.
These terms cover the website at oltinid.com, its documentation, and the demonstration services at demo.oltinid.com and auth.oltinid.com. By using them, you accept these terms. If you use them on behalf of an organisation, you accept them for that organisation.
Using OneiD itself, whether we run it for you or you run it yourself, is covered by a separate customer agreement. Where that agreement and these terms differ, the customer agreement applies.
02Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version, and the version in force when you use the website applies.
04Documentation and code examples
The documentation and its code examples are there to help you connect your own applications to OneiD. You may copy and adapt the code examples for that purpose, in your own applications. Any other use, such as republishing the documentation or the examples, or using them in a product that competes with OneiD, needs our written permission.
The code examples show one way to do something and come without warranty. Review and test them, and keep your own secrets and settings out of source code, before you use them in production. Where you use OneiD under a customer agreement, that agreement also applies.
05The demonstration services
- The demo application (demo.oltinid.com) and the demonstration instance (auth.oltinid.com) are for evaluating OneiD only, not for running a real service.
- Do not put real personal data, real customer data or a password that you use elsewhere into them.
- Demo accounts, applications and data may be changed or removed at any time, and the services may be unavailable or withdrawn without notice.
06Acceptable use
Use this website and the demonstration services lawfully and fairly. In particular, do not:
- try to break, overload or get around the security of this website or the demonstration services, or test them with automated attacks;
- try to sign in to accounts or areas you are not allowed to use, or access other people’s data;
- upload malware, or use the services to send spam or to impersonate someone else;
- scrape the website in a way that puts load on it, or copy its content or design for your own products.
Search engines and AI assistants are welcome to read the website and the documentation, as set out in our robots.txt.
07Reporting security problems
If you find a security problem in OneiD, this website or the demonstration services, please report it privately through the contact page or as described in our security.txt. Use only your own demo accounts, do not access or change other people’s data, do not disrupt the services, and give us reasonable time to fix the problem before you tell anyone else.
08Our content and brand
The OneiD name, logos, ring mark, text, documentation and design on this website belong to us or to those who license them to us. No rights are granted to you except those these terms state. You may refer to OneiD by name to describe how your product works with it. Using our logos or ring mark, or anything that suggests we endorse you, needs our written permission.
09Feedback
We welcome suggestions about OneiD and its documentation. If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve OneiD without any obligation to you.
10Links to other websites
The documentation links to standards, libraries and other websites that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or for how they handle your data.
11Our responsibility to you
We provide this website, the documentation, the code examples and the demonstration services free of charge and as they are, without any promise that they are complete, error-free or always available.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss caused by relying on the website’s content or by using the code examples or the demonstration services. If you use them for a business, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, data or goodwill, or for any indirect loss.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
12Governing law
These terms, and any dispute about them or about this website, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings there. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep any protection that the law of your country gives you and that cannot be excluded.
13General
If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. We may suspend access to this website or the demonstration services to keep them secure or if these terms are broken.
